How SEO Copilot AI handles product pages — what product-specific checks run automatically, where results appear, and how to use them to improve product visibility and trust.

WooCommerce-specific checks require Business or Agency. On Free and Pro, products can be analyzed like any other post type, but the dedicated product module — with schema detection, review signals, and the products-needing-attention dashboard table — is only active on Business and Agency.

Business & Agency

How it works

When you run analysis on a WooCommerce product, SEO Copilot AI automatically detects the product type and runs a dedicated product module alongside the standard SEO, AEO, and E-E-A-T analysis. This module checks product-specific signals that are not relevant to regular pages or posts — schema coverage, review signals, short description presence, pricing visibility, and gallery depth.

The product module runs silently — you do not need to configure it or select a special mode. If WooCommerce is active and the analyzed content is a product post type, the module fires automatically.

WooCommerce must be active on your site for the product module to run. If WooCommerce is not installed or inactive, the plugin treats product post types as regular posts and applies standard analysis only.

What the product module checks

The product module examines six signals that are specific to commercial product pages. Each one maps to a recommendation or issue that appears in the analysis result.

Schema

Product schema detection

Whether any schema present on the page includes a Product type. Missing product schema is flagged as a high-priority issue because search engines use it to understand pricing, product type, and commercial intent.

Trust

Review & rating signals

Whether the product has any customer reviews and an average rating. Weak or absent review signals are flagged — review counts and star ratings are strong trust and E-E-A-T signals on product pages.

Content

Short description

Whether the product has a short description set in WooCommerce. The short description is typically the first content block visible to customers — missing it is a clarity and conversion gap.

Commerce

Price visibility

Whether a price is visible in the product’s HTML output. If pricing is hidden or removed, the plugin flags it — price visibility is important for both user trust and search intent matching.

Media

Gallery image count

The number of product gallery images. Products with few or no gallery images are flagged — richer imagery supports both conversion confidence and better ALT text coverage for SEO.

Type

Product type

Whether the product is simple, variable, grouped, or another WooCommerce type. The type is used to calibrate recommendations — variable products, for example, may need different schema treatment than simple products.

Product-specific issues in the analysis result

When the product module finds problems, they are surfaced as dedicated issues in the analysis result — alongside and separate from standard SEO and AEO gaps.

Product schema is missing

Schema

No Product schema type was detected in the page’s structured data. Product schema helps search engines understand the offer, price, and product type — making it a key requirement for both search visibility and rich results eligibility.

Action: Add Product schema or improve your WooCommerce product data output. Many SEO plugins (Yoast, Rank Math) generate this automatically — check if it is enabled for product post types.

Weak review signals on the product page

Trust

The product has no customer reviews or a very low rating count. Review signals are among the strongest trust indicators on a product page — for both human visitors and search systems evaluating E-E-A-T.

Action: Encourage customers to leave reviews. Even a handful of genuine reviews significantly strengthens trust and rating schema signals.

Short description is missing or thin

Content

The WooCommerce short description field is empty or nearly empty. The short description is the first summary customers see — missing it hurts both clarity and keyword coverage in a prominent content area.

Action: Add or strengthen the short description so the product’s core value proposition is clear immediately, without the customer needing to scroll.

Where product results appear

In the Analyze view

When you analyze a product, the analysis result includes a WooCommerce product section showing which product-specific checks passed or need attention. This appears alongside the standard SEO, AEO, and E-E-A-T sections. Product issues are integrated into the fix-this-first and top issues guidance, so they are prioritized alongside regular content gaps.

In the Dashboard — products needing attention

The Dashboard shows a dedicated Products needing attention table that lists your five most recently analyzed WooCommerce products, along with their top issue and SEO/AEO scores. Use this table to decide which products to prioritize next without having to re-open each one individually.

Product Top issue SEO AEO
SEO Keyword Tool Pro Product schema is missing 58 34
Rank Tracker Lite Short description is missing 74 51
Content Audit Bundle Weak review signals 79 62

In the product admin list

After analyzing a product, SEO Copilot AI adds SEO score, AEO score, and top issue columns to the WooCommerce product admin list (Products → All Products). These columns give you a quick scan of optimization status across your entire product catalog without opening each product.

AccessiMind AI integration

If you have AccessiMind AI installed and active, the analysis result includes an additional card for generating missing ALT text on product images. The plugin detects images without ALT text and offers to launch AccessiMind AI pre-loaded with those specific image attachment IDs.

How the AccessiMind AI integration works

When product images are missing ALT text, a dedicated card appears in the analysis result. Clicking the button opens AccessiMind AI with the relevant images pre-selected, so you can generate ALT text in one workflow without hunting for the images manually. After generating, the plugin returns you to the SEO Copilot AI analyze view for that product.

The integration is passive — it only activates when AccessiMind AI is detected as an active plugin. No configuration is needed.

Best practices for WooCommerce optimization

  • Prioritize products where the top issue is missing Product schema — it is the most impactful single fix for product search visibility
  • Fill in the WooCommerce short description for every product that currently lacks one — it takes minutes and affects a prominent content area
  • Use the products-needing-attention Dashboard table as your starting point after a bulk run — it surfaces the most urgent products immediately
  • Add product gallery images to products with only one or two photos — richer imagery improves ALT text coverage and supports both SEO and conversion
  • For variable products, verify that the schema output covers the product correctly — variable products sometimes need explicit schema configuration depending on your SEO plugin
  • After improving a product, re-run analysis to confirm scores updated and the issues are resolved — the Dashboard table only updates after a fresh analysis is saved

Common questions

The product module results are not showing in my analysis

Confirm that WooCommerce is active on your site, that the product post type is selected in the Analyze view, and that your plan is Business or Agency. If all three are true and the product section is still absent, try re-running the analysis — sometimes the module is skipped if WooCommerce functions are not yet loaded at analysis time.

My product has Product schema from Yoast SEO but the plugin still flags it as missing

The plugin looks for a Product @type in the page’s JSON-LD output. If the schema is generated client-side by JavaScript rather than in the server-rendered HTML, the plugin may not detect it. Also verify that Yoast has Product schema enabled for your WooCommerce product post type under Yoast SEO → Search Appearance → Content Types.

The products-needing-attention table on the Dashboard is empty

The table only appears and populates after you have run analysis on at least one WooCommerce product. Go to Analyze, select a product from the dropdown, and run analysis. The Dashboard table will populate on your next visit.

Can I run bulk analysis on products only?

Yes. In the Bulk view, set Content type to Products. You can further filter by WooCommerce product category using the Category or tag dropdown. This lets you run a focused product-only batch without including posts or pages.
