Follow-up

Monitoring

How the dedicated Monitoring page works — understanding the four status signals, reading the three follow-up lists, and using the full item table to track page health over time.

Monitoring requires Business or Agency. Pro and Free plans can run analysis and view history, but the Monitoring page and its status signals are only available on Business and Agency.

What Monitoring is for

Analysis tells you the current state of a page. Monitoring tells you how that state is changing over time — and which pages need your attention next. It sits on its own dedicated page so the Dashboard stays clean and focused.

The Monitoring page compares the two most recent saved analyses for each page and assigns a status signal based on score movement and staleness. Pages are then surfaced in three focused lists — Needs re-review, Biggest declines, and Recently improved — so you can triage without having to scan the full table every time.

Where to find it

Go to SEO Copilot AI → Monitoring in your WordPress admin sidebar. The page shows the four summary metric cards at the top, three focused lists in the middle, and the full monitored items table at the bottom.

Monitoring only populates after you have run analysis on pages. If you have just installed the plugin, run analysis on your most important pages first — then come back to Monitoring to see the status signals appear.

The four summary cards

At the top of the Monitoring page, four cards give you a quick count of how your pages are distributed across the four status signals.

Needs review
5

Changed after last analysis or not reviewed in 30+ days.

Declining
3

Latest scores are weaker than the previous saved analysis.

Improving
8

Latest scores are stronger than the previous saved analysis.

Stable
14

No urgent signal detected. Keep in normal review rhythm.

The four status signals explained

Every monitored page is assigned exactly one status. Here is the precise logic the plugin uses to assign each one — taken directly from the scoring system.

Needs review

The page has changed since it was last analyzed, or the review is stale

Triggered by either of two conditions: the page’s WordPress modified date is newer than the last saved analysis timestamp, or the last analysis is 30 or more days old. When content changes after analysis, the saved scores no longer reflect the live page — re-analyzing gives you an accurate current picture.

Triggers: post modified after last analysis, OR 30+ days since last analysis.

Declining

Combined scores dropped by 6 or more points since the previous analysis

The plugin compares the latest saved analysis against the one before it for the same page. If the combined SEO + AEO + E-E-A-T delta is −6 or lower, the page is marked Declining. This catches cases where previous improvements may have been partially reverted, or where a page’s performance degraded between optimization sessions.

Triggers: (current SEO + AEO + E-E-A-T) minus (previous SEO + AEO + E-E-A-T) ≤ −6.

Improving

Combined scores improved by 6 or more points since the previous analysis

The same delta logic, in the positive direction. A combined delta of +6 or higher marks the page as Improving. These are your proof-of-value pages — the ones where your optimization work has produced a measurable result in the scores. Use this list to validate which types of changes are having the most impact.

Triggers: (current SEO + AEO + E-E-A-T) minus (previous SEO + AEO + E-E-A-T) ≥ +6.

Stable

No urgent signal detected — scores are holding within normal range

Pages that have not changed since their last analysis, were reviewed within the past 30 days, and show a score delta between −5 and +5. Nothing urgent. Keep these pages in your normal review rhythm and re-analyze them periodically to catch any drift.

Triggers: none of the above conditions met, delta between −5 and +5.

The three focused lists

Below the summary cards, three side-by-side lists surface the most actionable pages in each category. Each list shows up to eight items, sorted by review priority.

Needs re-review first

Pages that changed after analysis or have gone stale. Re-analyze these before acting on anything else — your saved scores may no longer reflect the live content.

Biggest declines

Pages where the most recent analysis scored lower than the previous one. Use this as a watch list — investigate what changed and re-analyze after making corrections.

Recently improved

Pages where scores moved up since the last analysis. Good candidates for before/after follow-up and evidence that your optimization work is having a real effect.

The full monitored items table

Below the three lists, a full table shows every page that has at least one saved analysis. Columns include title, content type, status with reason, top issue, current SEO/AEO/E-E-A-T scores with deltas, and last reviewed date.

Item Type Status Top issue SEO AEO E-E-A-T Last reviewed

The table sorts by review priority — pages with Needs review and Declining status are listed first. Each row has Edit and Analyze links to jump directly to the page or its analysis.

How to use Monitoring effectively

  • Check Monitoring after every bulk run — bulk results populate the table and surface new status signals immediately
  • Triage the Needs re-review list first every session — these pages have changed since analysis and may have inaccurate saved scores
  • Use the Declining list as a weekly watch — if scores dropped it usually means content was edited in a way that weakened SEO or AEO signals
  • Use the Improving list to validate which types of changes are working — pages that improved after FAQ additions are strong evidence for that tactic
  • Stable pages with low scores are still worth improving — stable just means the score has not moved, not that the page is performing well
  • Re-analyze a page after making improvements — Monitoring only compares saved analyses, so changes only show up after a fresh analysis is saved

Common questions

The Monitoring page is empty even though I have run analysis

Monitoring reads from your saved analysis history. If the page is blank, confirm you are on a Business or Agency plan. If the plan is correct, go to Analyze, run analysis on a page, and return to Monitoring — it should now show that page in the table.

A page shows Needs review but I only edited a small typo

The plugin uses WordPress’s post modified date to detect changes. Any save to the post — including a minor edit — updates that timestamp. If the modified date is newer than the last saved analysis, the page is flagged for re-review. Re-run the analysis to clear the signal.

Why does a page show Declining even though I improved it?

Monitoring compares the two most recent saved analyses. If the analysis saved before your improvements scored higher than the one saved after, the delta will be negative. This can happen if the analysis before your changes already captured a temporarily inflated score, or if the improvements were applied but not reflected in the second analysis. Re-run analysis after making changes to get an accurate updated result.

How far back does Monitoring look?

The Monitoring page works from the most recent saved analyses in your database, looking at up to 240 rows and grouping them by page. For each page it uses only the two most recent analyses to calculate the delta. There is no fixed time window — it simply uses whatever is saved.

Can I filter the Monitoring table by status?

Not currently — the table shows all monitored items sorted by review priority. The three focused lists above the table act as the filtering mechanism: use them to jump directly to the Needs review, Declining, or Improving pages without scanning the full table.

Where to go next

  • Analyze — re-run analysis on pages flagged by Monitoring to get updated scores
  • Bulk Analysis — use a bulk run to refresh scores across many pages at once, then return to Monitoring
  • Applying Suggestions — act on the top issues surfaced by Monitoring for each declining page
