Help & FAQ

Answers to common questions about setup, AI provider configuration, plugin behavior, what data leaves your site, and how SEO Copilot AI fits into practical SEO and AEO workflows.

Quick answers

If you are new to SEO Copilot AI, most questions usually fall into one of three themes: how to set it up, how to use it well, and what the plugin actually does behind the scenes.

Setup

Configure license, AI provider, and optional integrations

Start with the plan, connect your AI provider, and add Google Search Console if your plan includes it.

Usage

Use the plugin as guidance, not autopilot

Focus on recommendations that improve clarity, structure, search interpretation, and answer quality.

Data

Only the required analysis payload is sent externally

Your AI provider receives the data needed for analysis. License verification does not send your page content.

Important: SEO Copilot AI is designed to help you improve pages and content signals. It does not guarantee rankings, traffic growth, featured snippets, AI citations, or commercial outcomes.

Before you start

  • Install the plugin and confirm your plan is active if you use a paid tier
  • Configure an AI provider and test that the selected model is available
  • Review the plugin settings before running your first analysis
  • Use the recommendations as editorial guidance, not as a substitute for human judgment
Getting started

What does SEO Copilot AI actually do?

SEO Copilot AI analyzes pages, posts, and in some plans also products, to help you improve SEO, AEO, and related content quality signals. It can suggest improvements to titles, meta descriptions, FAQs, schema opportunities, structure, and clarity so your content is easier for search engines and AI systems to interpret.

Does the plugin write content for me automatically?

No — not by default. SEO Copilot AI is built as a guidance and optimization tool. It helps you review content, understand weaknesses, and apply improvements with more confidence. You remain in control of what gets changed on the page.

Do I need an OpenAI account?

You need access to a supported AI provider. Depending on your setup, that may be OpenAI or another compatible endpoint if the plugin supports it in your version. The plugin itself does not include bundled AI usage. Your API usage is billed by your provider under your own account.

Can I use the plugin without a paid license?

Yes. The Free plan is available without a paid license key and includes a limited number of AI operations per month. Paid plans unlock more advanced features and higher-scale workflows depending on the tier.

License & plans

How do I activate my paid plan?

Go to SEO Copilot AI → Settings → License, paste your license key, and click Save & verify. The plugin will verify your key and unlock the features associated with your active plan.

Why does the plugin show Free even though I paid?

This usually means the license has not verified successfully yet, the cached result is outdated, or the server cannot reach the license system. Use Refresh license and verify that your site can make outbound HTTPS requests.

Which plan do I need for Multisite?

WordPress Multisite support is intended for the Agency plan. If you run one WordPress Multisite network and want SEO Copilot AI available in that environment, Agency is the relevant tier.

Can I upgrade later?

Yes. If you upgrade your plan, use Refresh license after the purchase so the plugin can pull the new status immediately rather than waiting for the normal license cache refresh.

AI provider & data

What data is sent to the AI provider?

The plugin sends the information needed to perform the selected analysis or generate the requested suggestions. That can include page content, titles, headings, metadata, and other relevant content signals. The purpose is to let the AI model evaluate and respond to the actual material you want to improve.

What data is sent during license verification?

License verification does not send your page content. It sends only the data needed to validate the installation, such as the license key, site URL or site hash, and plugin version, depending on the implementation.

Does SEO Copilot AI store my AI provider billing details?

No. Billing for API usage is handled by your AI provider account. SEO Copilot AI uses your configured key or endpoint to make analysis requests, but it does not become your billing platform for those API charges.

Can I choose different AI models?

Yes, in versions and configurations where model choice is available. Smaller models may be faster and cheaper, while larger models may produce richer or more nuanced analysis. The best choice depends on your budget, hosting environment, and workflow.

Practical usage

Should I apply every suggestion the plugin gives me?

No. Treat suggestions as guidance, not commands. Some changes will be clearly useful, while others may be optional or less suitable for your tone, audience, or page intent. Human review is always important.

What should I focus on first after an analysis?

Start with the suggestions that improve clarity, intent match, structure, FAQ coverage, schema opportunities, and on-page trust signals. Those are usually more useful than trying to obsess over small score movements.

Why does a page have a good score but still need attention?

Because the score reflects the overall state, while “Needs attention” highlights specific remaining issues. A page can be strong overall and still have worthwhile improvements left.

Can the plugin guarantee better Google rankings?

No. SEO Copilot AI can help you improve content signals and technical/content structure, but rankings depend on many factors outside the plugin’s control, including competition, site authority, backlinks, search intent, freshness, and algorithm changes.

Integrations

Does SEO Copilot AI replace Yoast SEO or Rank Math?

No. It is best understood as a companion optimization tool rather than a replacement for your main SEO plugin. Your SEO plugin still handles many core SEO settings, metadata systems, sitemaps, and schema-related controls depending on your setup.

What is Google Search Console used for in the plugin?

In plans that include it, the Google Search Console integration helps bring in real performance signals such as clicks, impressions, CTR, and average position. That gives you additional context when prioritizing optimization work.

Can I use SEO Copilot AI without Search Console?

Yes. Search Console data is useful, but it is not required for the plugin’s core analysis workflows. You can still run content-focused and AI-assisted optimization tasks without that integration.

Does the plugin work with WooCommerce?

Yes, in plans where WooCommerce product checks are included. That makes it possible to evaluate and improve product content more systematically, especially for stores that want stronger visibility and better structured product pages.

Limits & expectations

What counts as an AI operation?

An AI operation is generally one AI-assisted action performed by the plugin, such as running an analysis or generating AI-driven suggestions. The exact counting behavior depends on how the feature is implemented in your version, but the Free plan uses a limited monthly allowance while paid tiers are intended for broader use.

Does unused Free quota roll over to the next month?

No. Free-tier monthly operations reset according to the plugin’s monthly cycle. Unused allowance from one month is not intended to accumulate indefinitely.

Can the plugin replace SEO expertise entirely?

No. SEO Copilot AI can speed up analysis and highlight opportunities, but it does not replace strategy, editorial judgment, technical SEO expertise, or business-specific knowledge about your audience and goals.

Is the plugin suitable for agencies and teams?

Yes. Paid tiers, especially Business and Agency, are intended for larger or more advanced workflows. Agency is also the relevant plan for WordPress Multisite environments.
